- Measure its length, width and depth.
- Add a little room on each side so the box closes easily. If you plan to add an insert or divider, add space for those too.

What is the difference between cardboard and corrugated boxes?
Cardboard boxes use a single layer of thick paperboard and suit retail and lighter products. Corrugated boxes have a fluted middle layer and suit shipping. The comparison table above explains the difference in more detail.
What does pt mean in board thickness?
It stands for points. One point is one thousandth of an inch, so 16pt board is 0.016 inch thick. Thicker board feels firmer.
Are cardboard boxes recyclable?
Yes. Our cardboard boxes are recyclable and can be made with recycled content on request. Foil, heavy coatings and added parts can change how a local service accepts them, so check your local recycling rules.
Are cardboard boxes waterproof?
No. Cardboard is paper based and water can damage it. Matte, gloss or aqueous coating protects the print from scuffs, moisture and fingerprints, but it does not make the box waterproof. Store your boxes in a dry place.
Can I add foil or embossing to cardboard boxes?
Yes. Gold and silver foil stamping, embossing, debossing and spot UV all work on cardboard.
Can I print inside the box?
